The sixth grade is currently mapping Earth's surface. In this unit, we will be exploring how maps are used to represent landforms and topography. We will first begin by exploring the different types of landforms. Next, students will analyze and determine the advantages and disadvantages of the different map projections. Lastly, students will learn to read and create topographic maps. The science trimester exam is on Tuesday, November 28th. All students have received their topics in class.
