Goals and Objectives

Activities in the three and four year old programs incorporate the following goals or class objectives:

To provide a warm, safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.
To foster a positive self-image.
To promote feelings of being capable.
To learn appropriate behavior.
To help develop a sense of responsibility for their own actions.
To develop the ability to play with peers.
To learn to cooperate, share and take turns.
To develop the skill of being a good listener.
To stimulate the child's natural curiosity and love of learning.
To develop physical coordination through dance, skipping, running, and jumping.
To develop eye-hand coordination, reading readiness.
To develop fine motor skills by working with clay, paste, and paint.
To broaden the child's knowledge bank by exposing him/her to a variety of topics such as seasons, holidays, bible, animals, parts of the body, and family.
To develop a recognition of numbers 1-10.
To develop the skill of counting to 10. To develop letter recognition.
