Respect, Responsibility,
& Reverence
We will LEAD together as we pray, work, and play with Respect, Responsibility, and Reverence!
Oh my, how the year has flown!
It is very hard to believe that we are in our final few days of Third Grade!!
Thank you to all of the boys and girls who made this such a fantastic one!!!
Our last day of school is this Wednesday, June 15.
Our Recognition Ceremony will take place on Wednesday at 8:45 in the Holy Family Chapel. Please come and join us as we celebrate and recognize all of our hard work this year!
Report cards will become available for viewing on the on the parent portal this Tuesday, June 14.
The children will receive their summer packets before leaving for vacation on Wednesday.
Don't fprget to sign up for our End of the Year Block Party and Carnival which will take place this Friday, June 17 from 5:00 - 9:00.
Our Google Classroom is up and running. We will be utilizing Google Classroom on a daily basis in school as well as for correspondences about ongoing information in our class, so please take the time to check out any postings that are sent your way. If your child is absent, you can refer to the slides that are posted each morning in the classwork section to view the work that was missed for the day. All homework assignments are also found in the slides. Your child's password and email address can be found on an index card, taped inside your child's folder.
Remember that all written homework is given from Monday through Thursday. It is mandatory that homework is completed and brought into class the following day. This includes logging in the 20 minutes of independent reading which is to be recorded at the bottom of the planner. All homework and reading logs are to be signed by a parent of guardian. All missed homework is to be made up by the following day but will affect the outcome of the students' report card grade.
Please make sure that if you are driving your child to school, that they arrive by 7:55 otherwise they will be marked as late. Also, we have morning work to complete until 8:20, and it makes it difficult to for the children to make up the work if they do not arrive on time.
Thank you!

What's Happening in 3-1 This Week!
Religion
We will complete our final Star Student project for the Diocese
Math
This week we will review what we have learned about angles.
*Even though we have moved on from our study of multiplication and division it is extremely important that the children continuously review their facts every night for at least 15 minutes. We will do the same in class but at home review is a must! Remember that multiplication and division is still a brand new concept for the children therefore a strong recommendation is made to review their flash cards each night so as to gain quick recognition of their facts.
Spelling
Here are the some fun summer words for the week for our Spelling Bee on Tuesday :
Reading
This week we will complete researching information about the monuments in Washington D.C. and use that information to complete our in class research report.
Grammar/Writing
Over the next few days, we will work on a creative writing project called Fractured Fairytales.
Social Studies
We will learn about the history of Flag Day.
Have a Fabulous Last Week of Third Grade!
