Class Happenings
Religion
This week we will continue with our preparation for First Holy Communion. Our next chapter will focus on the Eucharistic Prayer and Cosecration that takes place in the Mass. The children will hear the story "Jesus Keeps His Promise" also known as the story of The Last Supper. We will relate this story of how Jesus gave himself to us at the Last Supper to how the priest uses Jesus' same words when he calls down the Holy Spirit to transform the bread and the wine into Jesus' Body and Blood. The children will be asked to bring their Eucharist Book home each day to share what they have learned. PLEASE make a point of engaging in conversation about this beautiful sacrament to help further your child's knowledge as well as having them enlighten their family members as to the significance of the Eucharist!
Remember to have your child work on their Lenten Sacrifice project at home throughout the season of Lent.
