Parent/Teacher Conference Forms were sent out via the SEAS Weekly Happenings e-mail. A copy of the letter can be found in the Resources section on this webpage. These conferences will take place through Google Meet. Please complete and return the form by Wednesday, March 10th.
The SEAS National Junior Honor Society is sponsoring a Lenten Food Drive for our Parish Outreach Centers. We have been asked to donate jars of Salad Dressing and Ketchup. All donations must be collected by Friday, March 26th. Thank you in advance for your generosity!!
We love to celebrate birthdays in class. Please contact me prior to your child's birthday to discuss a day and what you would like to send in as a treat. Please remember that all treats must be pre-packaged and NUT and KIWI Free. Thank you!!
Just as a reminder, all tests and graded assignments will go home on Friday afternoon. Please review, sign, and return them on Monday. If the signed material is not returned by Wednesday, it will count as a missing homework assigment. Thank you!
If your child is absent for any reason from school, please make sure that you send in a written note explaining their absence when they return. All of their assignments and missed work will be posted in Google Classroom. Thank you!

This week, we will continue to focus on Informational Text. We will continue to learn how to find the meanings of words using context clues and evidence from the text. We will also learn about the structure of Informational Text, and how the structure can help us understand the information presented in text.
We will not have a Vocabulary/Spelling Test this week.
In Literature, we will be moving on to our next novel. The next novel we will read will be The One and Only Ivan. We will begin in late March!
Social Studies will continue with a focus European Explorers who explored North America, specifically New York. We will also learn about New Amsterdam and how it became New York. This will be Chapter 3 in our Social Studies Textbook.
