Respect, Responsibility,
& Reverence
“Every Christian is challenged, here and now, to be actively engaged in evangelization; indeed, anyone who truly experienced God’s saving love does not need much time or lengthy training to go out and proclaim that love.” The Joy of the Gospel, Pope Francis
If you believe that your child is interested in growing their relationship with Christ beyond the classroom and the church building, this program will help them achieve this. Pope Francis is calling all God’s children, young and old, to become missionary disciples, described as agents of evangelization.
As a Mentor of Christ, your child will attend monthly meetings (on Mondays), immediately after school for an hour. During meetings, we will complete service projects, have group discussions, and pray.
Students will be assigned to a lower grade classroom. Once a month, they will lead the class (with the help of the teacher) in service projects, faith activities, and prayers. In addition to the meetings and classroom activities, this year we are growing to include ongoing service projects and service field trips. We are going to be Missionary Disciples not only in our school, but in our local community as well.
